Dr Gandy is an Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon at the Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals, Sydney.
His patients are female and male who may arrive at his website and rooms with a heightened level of anxiety. Understanding this the website needs to offer compassion, a reinforcing message and a clear path. The practice is private and offers a complete managed service from testing, treatments and post operative care delivery.
The client opted for a variation from the blues and greens that are commonly used in many surgeons websites.
We first created a logo design and intentionally chose more vibrant colours. The surgeons choice reflected this progressive nature and positive attitude. Once the logo and principle yellow and orange colours were chosen the design came together quickly.
The website design is fresh, contemporary, clean, professional, and friendly.
The layout, uncluttered and consistent was intended to help position the practice, cover the services offered and overview the doctor's’ details with ease.
The website needs to support the patient's’ sense that Dr Gandy is the right choice professionally as well as showing a caring, professional, safe and local service solution.
The content is broken down into two areas.
Non-Clinical to help Inform patients of practical issues such as locations, opening hours, contact details.
Clinical content, which is designed to answer patients’ questions about what and how the services is delivered. Educate patients in a way consistent with the practice’s approach and protocols.
The website content creation followed the normal Clinical and Non-Clinical development methodology that also acts as a full content gap analysis. The process requires minimal inputs by the client as all the custom content is created by our experienced medical writers.
